Rossmann enters into Activemap patent portfolio license

Hamburg and London:

Activemap Europe GmbH, and its exclusive licensing partner, Vectis IP Ltd, announced today that Dirk Rossmann GmbH has entered into a license agreement for the Activemap patent portfolio. As a result, a Preliminary Injunction request filed by Activemap Europe in the German District Court ("Landgericht Dusseldorf") for infringement of European Patent EP 2,336,970 has been withdrawn.

"Activemap is delighted to welcome Rossmann as a licensee to its interactive mapping patent portfolio. Rossmann's membership amongst our fast-growing family of licensees is further testament to the significance of Activemap's user-friendly interface", said Erika Jakubassa, CEO of Activemap Europe. Sandro Spina, Director of Licensing for Vectis IP, further added, "With favourable outcomes from three separate German enforcement actions, there can be little doubt that the Activemap inventors were early pioneers when first patenting their now widely used store locator."
